The SOAPSTONE water filter is a 100% handcrafted piece, made with natural raw materials. Soapstone (Steatite) is a rock that preserves water quality without releasing heavy metals or toxins. Furthermore, the filter has natural properties that gradually cool and purify the water, ensuring a fresh and smooth taste, ideal for daily use.

– Soapstone is a metamorphic rock, making it soft and easy to work with for creating sculptures, handicrafts, and kitchenware such as water filters and cooking pots. Its key characteristics include high tolerance for extreme temperatures (excellent ability to withstand thermal fluctuations, ranging from well below freezing to approximately 1000°C), low porosity, high impermeability, and corrosion resistance. These qualities ensure great versatility and durability, as well as resistance to stains and mold. It is also easy to maintain, allowing users to clean the filter whenever they wish, entirely on their own (DIY).

– Containers made of Steatite (such as water filters and reservoirs) are ideal for storing water; when paired with “Triple Action” sterilizing cartridges, they ensure perfect water filtration. Steatite is a naturally alkaline material that helps maintain the water’s pH balance.

IMPORTANT: We recommend thoroughly washing the filter every two months. It is simple: just place it in the sink and rinse the top and bottom with tap water. Use the soft side of a clean, grease-free sponge to clean both the inside and outside of the filter, then rinse thoroughly. Do the same for the filter cartridges (do not scrape the ceramic of the cartridges; do not use sugar, salt, baking soda, etc.). Simply use your hands or the soft side of a sponge (do not use soap or other cleaning products inside the filter).

RECOMMENDATIONS:
The stone filter is very durable, but please handle it with great care during both initial assembly and bimonthly maintenance (if wet, it could slip from your hands and hit something or fall). Please also remember that the filter cartridges must be replaced every 6 months (we recommend using only genuine replacements). It is advisable to discard at least the first 8 liters of filtered water after installing new cartridges (you can use this water for plants, for example; this helps clean the cartridges internally).

🔸NOTE: DURABILITY: With proper care, Soapstone water filters can last for generations, requiring only the replacement of the candles (sterilizing cartridges) on average every 6 months.
